Seawall Cafe: Kettering’s Hidden Gem. Travellers en route to the Bruny ferry terminal will not regret taking a small detour (take first left off Ferry Road) down to Oyster Cove Marina to grab a cuppa at Seawall. However, those who take time to dine in will enjoy a real treat. Aside from great coffee, Seawall has a comfortable atmosphere and boasts a magnificent outlook, thanks to its position right on the waterfront. Indoor or waterside outdoor seating is available. The menu is straightforward with an exciting selection on offer and the cafe does not fall into the trap of trying to be too many things at once. My own meals have been consistently delicious, a sentiment echoed by patrons at neighbouring tables, and both skill in preparation and use of crisp fresh ingredients shine through. In the front cabinet I also spied several home baked treats to satisfy the sweet tooth. I had the privilege of meeting several of the Seawall team members, all of whom are delightful people who ensured all guests were well catered for. There is even a corner stage advertising open mic nights and guest performances, so imagine some evenings at Seawall could be enjoyed in a festive atmosphere. The Marina outside the cafe has a paved walkway flanked by small native gardens and signs featuring some very interesting local stories and history. To really walk off brunch, the Kettering Point walking track (go up the hill at the ferry terminal roundabout and on to the end of the road) is a great stroll with spring wildflowers galore. Seawall may not be easily spotted from the road but do yourself a favour and look for it down at the Marina - you and your tastebuds will not be disappointed!

A nice coastal drive. And nice place right at Marina bay. The best oysters very fresh and the Kilpatrick cooked so perfectly and tasty and the sauce was homemade. Chiefs were very nice and accomodating. Highly recommended this cafe.

We had such a lovely late Mother's Day lunch at the Seawall cafe yesterday! After being rudely turned away from the pub because we were out of their services times and told we’d never find anywhere around without a booking…. We were so fortunate to be welcomed by the amazing staff at Seawall - seated at a fantastic table on the deck - enjoyed wonderful live music - and had the most delicious lunch of seafood chowder and grilled fish n chips. So thankful for the rude publican haha because we had a fantastic afternoon. Thank you to all the team at Seawall for making my Mothers Day special

Absolutely amazing food and the wait staff were fabulous. It was busy so the service wasn’t super fast but that was totally fine with us as we weren’t in a hurry and were enjoying the view. All food was fabulous and they offered some kid friendly options for our little people. Would very happily come back.

Brilliant food, very accommodating staff and a lovely setting. We showed up at 3.15pm hoping to order something off their menu, the kitchen closed at 2.30 but they reopen it for us and made us an unbelievable chicken sandwich and poke bowl. So grateful! Couldn’t recommend this place more.
